Meet Chase Desso, LAc
I am a licensed acupuncturist and primary care provider with a lifelong passion for health and the human body. I have been sharing my healing skills with patients since 1996. My Master's Degree is in East Asian Medicine from the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College (AIMC) in Berkeley. In addition to maintaining a private practice in Sebastopol, I have worked in diverse settings such as Sonoma County's Jewish Community Free Clinic and West Berkeley Family Practice.
I embrace a hands-on, compassionate approach to healing. I invest in my patients with scholarship and care to address the root of injury and illness, helping my patients achieve wellness for the long-term. My unique integrative approach blends techniques from a variety of modalities to create a rejuvenating and nourishing holistic experience that patients find unparalleled. In addition to acupuncture, I enjoy moving between the subtle energy work of Medical Qigong, to more fervent methods like Tui Na massage and Active Release Technique (ART).
I am a passionate herbalist and have been studying Western and Eastern herbal medicine for over twenty years. It is a great joy for me to use the rich traditions of plant medicine to support health and balance for my patients, family and friends.
As a compassionate listener devoted to my own path of physical and emotional well-being, I understand that symptoms such as physical pain, anxiety, or insomnia are our body’s way of expressing imbalances. I will work closely with you to uncover the roots of these somatic expressions and to help restore your body to a harmony of yin and yang.
Patients who are open to transformation and deeper understanding of their mind, body, and spirit will truly benefit under my care. I continuously engage in training and scholarship with the goals of enriching my understanding of health and healing.
